The oil is mixed with sodium hydroxide substance until the saponification process is complete, which takes 6-10 hours.

We place the oil in tanks, and a specific amount is taken from it depending on the quantity of the mixture. Then the sodium hydroxide substance is dissolved in the water at a certain temperature. By using pumps, the oil is pumped over the sodium hydroxide substance and it is stirred and mixed with special machines. The heating process is carried out using steam, then the water is drained and the process is repeated several times until the oil is mixed really well with sodium hydroxide substance, only when it begins to saponify, the smell of the oil is changed into the smell of soap.

Then the layering process takes place, i.e. drawing water from the mixture, as it lasts until the next day. Then this process ends, and the mixture becomes ready for pouring.

Many European and Asian countries have begun to resort to the products which contain natural materials, such as food products, cotton materials, and detergents. Therefore, the fact that laurel soap is made from olive oil is considered one of the natural materials that can prevent many problems and diseases.

The next day after pouring the mixture, the cutting process comes, which is a process of forming pieces of soap in the same size and the same shape. This process is done using a simple handmade machine, which was used a long time ago, yet, it is still used to preserve and protect the roots of this traditional handicraft.

Laurel soap is characterized by its yellow-brown color on the outside and the green color from the inside. In Europe, it is called the Magic Soap.
